The Harmony Arts Festival - my home for the weekend...
It's finally here!
I did a brief overview of our summer events in this post - and the final one has arrived: starting tomorrow I will begin my set-up and spend first night on site at HAF.
It is a beautiful beach-front setting in West Vancouver, hosting not just local artisans, but also multiple band concerts, wine and food tastings, fine art shows and sales, craft hands-on workshops, talks with the artists and so much more.
All details and schedules are on HAF's Web-site.
As for me, I will be showing the remaining stock of the Pre-Fall 2010 Coming Of Age collection; TRIFFtextiles summer, QtBeach (while it lasts only, this time..) - and six out of eight Fall/ Winter 2011 upcoming Collection prototypes...
The detailing of the soon-to-be-released collection, you were able to preview in this post.
Because in the next several weeks I will begin building the Jola V. Designs FW 2011 LookBook, the prototypes will not actually be for sale.... (This year, I will be putting more time to promote JVD as a brand)....
BUT - I will be taking custom orders for my FW 2011 styles, and I have already attached a lovely bundle of leather swatches to show the available colours of each style... And, staying true to our traditions, at HAF - mention this post, and your custom order will be discounted by 15%...
See you there. Fri: 4-9; Sat, Sun, Mon 10-9

The 'I Think You Bloody Deserve It' sale
So.. here they finally are - the awaited, and the hated, the innevitable and joyous; ranging and overwhealming; giving and rewarding - Holidays ....
Most of the bustle is in the past now - we know, not all of it though, but, hey - at this point last week things were far worse! All gifts are now boxed
, the party food is either already in our bulging stomachs, or will very soon land there, so prevent the bulge if you can (you'll thank me later...)This is the time of a slower pace, plan making, stretching your legs and... rewarding yourself too for what you've accomplished this year... Give to yourself the one item you wanted and have a suspicion you will not get it from any of your Santas....
For us, things have been just as hectic up till this moment; but now, all our creative chores aside, we also kick back and reflect... All the Art Shows are done for the year, no more sales to pitch, stores to hound; by now we've attended all the Fashion Shows featuring our products; done are all trades, exchanges, re-stock runs - all in the past. For now...
With a few moments left till the new year, we would like to give back to our supportive customers, silent fans, and those who just are good at waiting... Don't rely on your Santas - get the item you've been lusting after for months yourself.
Now!
Announcing the 'I Think You Bloody Deserve It' Sale for one 8 day week only - December 19th to 27th on all items on my Etsy store!
The discount is 35% - 45% off - so you get your wish and I get to start fresh in the new year, spreading the good word at the same time.
Shiping rates are regular; all store policies apply.
Be sure to keep me busy!
Shipment may not arrive in time for the X-mas gift unwrapping, but it will sure be there for your New Years parties...
The sale is short; and on the 27th, at midnight, all bags of Intro 2010 Spring collection will go back to their regular pricing.

JAKI - shoulder and tote bags (continued)
The JAKI shoulder bag was introduced in the earlier posting. Now, time for some personal attention to the JAKI Tote Bag, a slightly larger and roomier sibling of the Jaki gang!
It's my first and, to the day, only TCB purse, that is large enough to hold folders, notepads, files, other devices and goodies associated with business. However, business is not the only purpose this bag was created. Works for shopping, packing for your tot and overnighting just as well.
Just like the shoulder bag edition, this one features no metal in decor (except a magnetic snap inside) and no inner lining. I am again focusing on beauty of the materials, embrasing it to the max. Totes are made of medium to heavy weight of upholstery leather, which has been rejected by the upholsterors sometime in history (but what do upholsterors know about beauty, right?)...Colour sellection is still a work in progress, but currently you'll find these in Burnt Red (pictured), Caramel Brown, Wedding White and Black.
Since this one is a fast seller, I currently have average of 2 week waiting list built up for the next custom order of shoulder or tote edition (as of Oct 26th, 2009). Due to current demand JAKIs will not be featured on the Etsy shop, instead I will do my best to scramble up and produce a small handful of them for my upcoming craft shows. (Good luck to me..)
If interested, pls., drop me a note to custom order OR, pls, track me down at either one of the venues - FabFair (Nov 21-22; 11-5 pm); BCTF/ Coastal Health Craft Fair (Nov 25; 12-2 pm); or PrtobelloWest (Dec 12-13; 12-6 pm), mention my blog promotion and get your arm candy JAKI, based on edition and colour availability at 15% off! (The discount applies for event sales only; pls, note that I will not be taking advance reservations for items on hold to be picked up at the events)
